Makkah Nursery is a garden centre and growing nursery on Service Road H-9/3 in Islamabad. Twelve thousand people follow us on Facebook, and everyone who has left us a review has recommended us — which is a nice thing to be able to say, and a hard thing to keep true.

## What we grow

The seasonal beds are the heart of it: dahlias, chrysanthemums, stock, marigold, pansies, ranunculus and ornamental cabbage, raised by the thousand and potted on so they are ready to plant the day you buy them. Around that we keep roses, flowering shrubs, indoor and foliage plants, succulents and cactus, hedging, ground cover, and trees, palms and clipped topiary in large pots.

## What we stock

A full hall of pots — terracotta from thumb-sized upward, glazed colour pots, carved concrete planters, marble and onyx vases, hanging baskets and vertical planters. Garden statues, animal figures and stone fountains. Compost, manure, fertiliser and the plain black nursery pots we use ourselves.

## What we do

Roughly half our work is planting rather than selling: laying lawns, planting hedges and borders, and putting whole gardens together for houses, offices and housing schemes across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. There is more on that on the [Services](https://makkahnursery.eblog.us/services/) page.

## How buying works

Message us on WhatsApp with what you are after — or better, a photo of the space. We will tell you what will grow there, how many plants it takes, and what it costs on the day. Prices move with the season and the size of the plant, so we would rather quote you honestly than publish a list that is out of date by the time you read it.

## Come and walk round

The nursery is worth seeing in person. The beds change every few weeks, and there is usually something in flower that we have not got round to putting on Facebook yet.
